Assignment

The line graph shows the number of tourists visiting a Caribbean island from 2010 to 2017. It includes three groups: visitors staying on cruise ships, visitors staying on the island, and the total number of visitors.

Overall, the total number of visitors grew steadily over the years, especially after 2015. Tourists staying on cruise ships and those staying on the island both increased, but cruise ship visitors grew faster in the later years.

In 2010, there were 1 million tourists in total, with equal numbers staying on cruise ships and on the island. By 2013, the total number had doubled to 2 million, mainly because of more people staying on the island, which reached about 1.5 million. Visitors on cruise ships rose slowly and stayed below 1 million.

After 2013, the number of cruise ship visitors increased quickly, surpassing island visitors by 2016. By 2017, cruise ship visitors reached 2 million, while island visitors stayed at 1.5 million. This led to a total of 3.5 million tourists in 2017.

In short, the total number of tourists rose every year, with cruise ship visitors growing the most in the last few years.
